Richard (Hay) Brewer-Hay

I have over 20 years of experience in communications, marketing and production on behalf of some of the world’s most innovative companies including Yahoo!, eBay, NEC, Microsoft and StubHub. In November, 2014, I joined Splunk to lead its social media efforts across the global organization. In early 2018 I became Director of PR & Social Media.

In January, 2008, I joined eBay as Chief Blogger to direct its social media initiatives and launch “eBay Ink” (, where I captured and shared insights and perspective on the company and provided another conduit for corporate communications. I went on to launch a similar global program for StubHub.

I turned my homebrewing passion into a full blown home-brewpub out of my basement in San Francisco called the Elizabeth Street Brewery out of which I brewed and distributed beer to friends and family. In April 2010, my beer – “Imperial Jack”, named after my Grandfather and brewed in collaboration with San Francisco’s 21st Amendment Brewery, was a Gold Medal winner at the World Beer Cup in Chicago, IL in the “other strong beer” category.
